Saga by Timex – British Made Military Style Watch, 1980

An exceptionally well-preserved vintage Saga wristwatch manufactured by Timex in Great Britain in 1980.

This is a particularly attractive example, featuring a striking black military-style dial with highly legible white Arabic numerals, inner 24-hour markings, luminous hour markers and hands, red centre seconds hand and date display at 3 o'clock.The condition is remarkable for a watch now more than 45 years old. The dial remains exceptionally clean and crisp, retaining a wonderfully fresh appearance, while the case is also very well preserved.

Inside is a British-made Timex manual-wind mechanical movement. The movement winds remarkably smoothly and the watch is currently running strongly and keeping very good time. The winding action is particularly smooth and refined for a vintage Timex of this age.

The watch measures approximately 33 mm across the case excluding the crown and is fitted with a 16 mm black leather strap.
