1980 Saga by Timex Military Style Watch – M25 Mechanical – Great Britain – 30mm
A superbly preserved 1980 Saga wristwatch made by Timex in Great Britain, featuring a striking military-inspired black dial and classic 12/24-hour layout.
The black dial is exceptionally well preserved, with crisp white Arabic numerals, an inner 24-hour scale, luminous-style hour markers and hands, a bright red sweep seconds hand and date window at 3 o'clock. The combination gives the watch a distinctive British field-watch character.
The dial code 82910 02580 dates the watch to 1980 and identifies the Timex M25 mechanical movement.
The movement is marked TIMEX – NO JEWELS – UNADJUSTED – GREAT BRITAIN, while the inside of the case back is stamped CASE GREAT BRITAIN TIMEX. Detailed photographs of the actual movement are included.
The overall level of preservation is particularly impressive. The dial, hands, crystal and case present beautifully, while the movement itself is remarkably clean. The crown action and time/date setting are smooth, and the watch is currently running and keeping good time.
